Friday 28 May 2010 is a day not many Cicero members will soon forget. Many important issues on the agenda could be decided upon. The meeting welcomed the new member firm Velíšek & Podpěra advokátní kancelář from the Czech Republic. Marketing initiatives from the Marketing Committee and the various Specialist Groups were reported as well as many successful junior exchanges. More of these exchanges are on their way. The reports on the successes of joint pitches encouraged many members to undertake similar operations in the future. The French member firm Bernards presented a promising outline of the venues and topics of the November meeting and venues for 2011 and May 2012 were agreed upon.
Last but certainly not least members were treated by a convincing and clear lecture of the famous Professor Justice Mr. Huub Willems, Professor of Corporate Litigation and former Chairman of the Dutch Enterprise Court and still a deputy member of that court. All happened in the magnificent Castle of Ophemert under a clear blue and sunny sky and this kind of weather cannot be taken for granted in the Netherlands.
